Jesus, as I contemplate Your Word, I recall a prayer You gave Me to petition at Mass
during our parish merger: "For Your Glory; for Your Will for Your people; for Your
Will." And I see how, through those difficult times, Lord, You have encouraged us to
look beyond our personal stresses in that stress-filled time and to look only to our
fulfilling the Will of our Father. Thank You, Jesus. And thank You, Jesus, for the
connective thought which has run through the words in "Word Among Us" this
morning: "Paul realized that issues of honor and status were not at the heart of the
charges that these "super apostles" were leveling against him. Eloquence in
speech and accepting payment for preaching were not the real issues. What was at stake was
the honour and dignity of Jesus Christ...Lord Jesus, send Your Spirit to free us from the
ways we allow our personal status and others approval to distract us from You.
Forgive us for placing such things ahead of true and sincere devotion to You. Fill our
hearts with Your Love and help us to love others as humbly and sincerely as You love
us." And thank You, Jesus, for these words in "Living Faith." "One
reason our prayer fails is: its too self-centered, too human-centered. We must get
out of ourselves and center ourselves on God and His Kingdom. Jesus, help me to begin and
end my prayer with heartfelt adoration of God Our Father." And I think of You, my
Jesus. How You have looked only to Father for all and everything. Help me to be more like
You, my Jesus. For Your Glory. For Your Will for Your people. For Your Will. O Father,
hear my prayer. Amen!!
The longing in every heart is to please Me; in every heart which is turned to Me. And
the stumbling blocks of sin are set before you. They have tumbled into your way since the
first fall to sin. And there now, is the stoney, rocky path to be trod. And see! As you
strike your toe upon a rock, you look down. You see the wound. You feed the pain. Your
concentration is on the pain. Look up, O children! Look up. See My Father! Know that His
Will is Perfection! Seek to find His Will in all that you encounter, in every breath! Live
for the Sole Purpose of fulfilling the Will of My Father. Yes, child you see!
(O, yes, Lord! It is as though a window, a door, has opened. That every pain would
please the Will of Father! That every Joy, every Sorrow would please the Father. That
every need be endured for the Father. That all requests be fulfilled, if only through the
lifting of them, we might better server the Father. That everything and all that I do,
occurs as it does for the Glory of our Father! It is simple, Lord, yet magnificent and
"new" somehow! Praise be to You, O Holy Spirit Who unlocks the windows of my
soul and lets me to see with clearer understanding! O Lord! Like a newborn baby is gently
lowered into a tepid bath by his Mother, I feel bathed by You just now with gentle ripples
of Love and cleansing. Warmth and Tenderness. Kindness and Love! You have overwhelmed me,
my God!!)
O gentle and kind creature, you come to Me to learn and I teach you. (O thank You, my
Lord and my God! I bow before Your Glory!!)
Sweet thing. Hear Me. I have taught you how to pray. Explore the beauty of My Prayer.
Slowly. Hover on every word. Pause and think. For the words of the prayer are My Own. The
Son of God praying to His Father. Know this. I have taught it for a purpose. It is how My
Heart has prayed to My Father. The Words are Mine. Let them become your life. I invite you
to join Me. Let us journey into the Will of My Father. It is a way of perfection, child.
Come. I have taught others. I shall teach you. (I love You, Jesus. I love You so! I can
see You, Jesus! In my spirit, I can see you. Clearly. You are beckoning, Jesus. With Your
Hands. And I reach out to You with my heart. Take my heart, O Lord. Teach me Your Ways, O
Lord. Amen!!)
Come, little one. I shall further instruct you in the Ways of God. For Perfection is
teaching His children. Come, the stumbling blocks are small compared to the Grandeur of
God. My Ways are Magnificent. Do not search for them. I prefer to present them to you.
Come. Follow Me. My Journey is blessed. Arrive here. Let us go. Forever into the Will of
Him Who has sent Me. Amen. (O Jesus, I Love You...so!! Amen.
Maranatha.) +
