Second Week of Lent, Tuesday, March 10, 1998
Dear Jesus and Holy Mother,
[From within contemplation, I can hardly believe what the Lord is asking me.....]
Do you know how to bake a cake? (Lord?)Follow My Instructions. For without them, there will be no cake. Not as it was designed to be. (O Lord! You are reminding me of that blueberry cake? Lord?)
Substitution. Yes. (Jesus! Yes, substitution. I used whole wheat flour instead of white. The cake was coarse, dry. Terrible. We put it out on the lawn and even the birds and squirrels would not eat it!)
They knew the difference. (Yes, Lord, even they.)
There are things which must be. As prescribed. Yes. My Law. And even the honorable laws of the land. You are given a right to be within the law. A freedom to exist within its bounds. A Natural Law to know intrinsically that some things are right and some are wrong. But how do you come to realize your place, your reality, within the law? Are you honest with yourself? Do you recognize your values? Your faults? Your needs? Are you honest with yourself? Do you admit defeat? But not succumb to failure? Do you realize that all which is done is already visible in the Eyes of God? That nothing hidden by you is spared from My Light? It is just a moment waiting the revelation of Truth? When will you look and admit the error of your way? When will you admit the facade which has become a burden that you bear?
Honesty and Truth is Humility. It is recognizing one's true place before God. It is seeing faults and weakness as having any strength, only in God. It is seeing all Virtue, all Grace as from God. It is bowing before Me even while proclaiming My Glory. It is turning to Me in all things so that strengths and weaknesses are rendered to Me. It is that all who look upon you see Me. By your action, your word, your deed. Your "way." It is to constantly proclaim My Greatness, and yours.....only within Me. It is not to deny Me. It is to render all things to Me.
My children, I grant you My Vision which is Wisdom, that you might begin to see as I see. That all is subject unto Me. My children, hear Me: Within you I see all the grandeur I have made. I see waiting to be proclaimed, My Glory, even in your "least favorable" quality. This which has been marked "least" by the world is greatest in My Eyes. Because I see My Potential in all things.
(Shall I write this, Lord.....?) Yes, Sarah. Even a cake which has failed has become My aid to teach. ALL things are subject unto Me. And IN Me, all receives Glory, Mine which I long to share with you. What is inside you is My Glory. Do not cover it up with false pretenses! Do not expect of others, more; that you might make excuses for your own latent gifts. Rejoice in their development. Pray that all within you would find a maturity in Me, by Me, through Me. That all would glorify Me.
[I could "see" the Lord look out over all the people of the world.....]
The greatest lack of Humility is covered by the sin of pride. Like a charade, does pride reach down within a person and reach and grab and mold which would be Humility. My Gifts are refashioned into self gain. My hidden treasures are coined as guilt, sorrow, despair, inadequacy. Because they do not measure up to the standards of the world! How could they, when they were made for ME!
Do you see what happens, lambs? The world shows you a weakness. You are told to hide it. To cover it with worldly acclaim. But if I have made all things; then I would honour this which is part of you. I ask you to present to Me this Gift which you bear. Relinquish it to Me. Trust that I shall make good of it. That which the world would hide, becomes a treasure in My Eyes. Because you stand here, before Me. Showing Me your very self. Offering to Me your very self. And allowing Me to participate in your very life. Which I have given, yes. But now is for you to return fully to Me, or not. According to your will. For which I stand and wait.
Honesty! Confront your Maker, your God, now. Sooner than later. For NOW there is so much we could accomplish. Child, be who I have made you to be. My Own. You are not a child of the world. You are Mine. Receive your inheritance. Receive My Love. Receive My Grace. Be in Me. Not the world. Let go of what is hidden. Be full in Life in Me. Amen. +
