Dear Jesus and Holy Mother,
[Jesus speaks.....]
We are here, child, looking out at the expansive plain. The journey there is long and hard, yet, we approach it day by day, step by step. We can be prepared to go there, but only by what we do this day, this moment, this now. For here and now is all you truly know we have. Yes? (Yes, Lord.)
Little one, hear Me. I speak and I speak and I speak. To you. To My children. And how I long that hearts would embrace My Word. That for all the being I afford to My lambs, that their being would be returned freely, willingly, a hundred fold. Life in Me is worth nothing unless you grow: I speak of being. Yet, all life has value. Perhaps, it is for YOU to grow, that others might follow. Perhaps it is for YOU to grow, that others might be. See? I look upon YOU! To no other do I look, but to YOU!
The fast that I Desire is from sin. For lambs, I have died that your sins would be remitted; but I lift no burden that would not at first, be lifted to Me. I seek your sin, your weakness of flesh and mind and spirit. Lift to Me these imperfections that I might perfect them in My Holy Sacrifice. For in Perfection, I lift all things to My Father.
Yes, I see you fast. You do with less. You do without. But the fast is not perfected by obeying the letter of the law. Fast is not presented to Me as on a platter, that I might be impressed with your effort, when your heart remains unchanged. When sin remains. When weakness lingers. That you give up food, but retain your weaknesses is a most imperfect fast.
Fast tames the flesh that the flesh might better lift the spirit. It allows a forced weakness of flesh that the spirit might rise, in full recognition of the errors and improvements needed.....that an improvement would, in fact, be made. But you shall not achieve this on your own. The entire point, My lambs, is that you come to recognize Me. That *I* have a stake in the claim of your soul. That any fast has value because of MY Blood, MY Suffering, MY Life rendered for you. Your flesh rendered through My Own, makes your sacrifice to have meaning. It is for this Reason I give you My Body and Blood to eat and to drink. That through your fast from the world you would become more full, complete, in Me. To prefer MY Flesh to your own. To Desire MY Blood to your own. Fast becomes complete when you bow before Me to attest to your human weakness. That you truly need Me. That without Me, you are eternally incomplete. Yes! Fast from the world! Fast from the flesh! Fast from the devil! Fast from worldly ways. Fast from your OWN ways. Fast perfectly, by desiring MY Ways. Fast by relinquishing any thought you have that achievement is by you, aside of Me. Fast from the thought to "do your own thing" and embrace the Meal Which is Me. Fast from your will and feast in My Will! Now, THIS becomes a perfect fast!
Render a slice of bread. Let Me accept it because with it, you render a part of your will. Abandonment of self! Yes! Give up yourself to Me! This is the perfect sacrifice! Come, see! I already commingle us together in Baptism, in the Sacramental Life in My Church. In My Word! So come! Be one in Me. Relinquish the world.....yes.....fast from the world and be filled in Me! Fast without our oneness, is no fast at all. It is a temporary motion, an unresolved action.
In Me, fasting becomes feasting in My Presence. Amen †
