Thursday, June 24, 1999Dear Jesus and Holy Mother,
[Jesus speaks.....]
Around each one of you in this day, are signs and wonders. Some pay more heed to them than others. Others pass them by as window dressing. Others would enter and explore their meaning. But ALL are called to be in prayer. Prayerful discernment. Constantly. For the Body, My Body, the Church, which is in fact, all people. Would you stand by and watch your neighbor fall? Fail? I bring this to your attention, then I expect your cooperation. Neighbors talk. Neighbors act. Which shall be YOUR neighborly way?Children, I will tell you this: For YOU to discuss what goes on around you, can be a form of discernment if it is coupled with prayer. But be on your guard, little ones, for it can quickly.....your conversation.....become a distraction as another god. For your attraction to it is so great, that it supersedes your coming to Me. As you proceed on your own, you play into the hands of pride. Because all you speak inflates your ego. I would ask you to prefer silence in these times, so we could be together to continue the discerning process in prayer. Afterall, how can you hear MY Whisper if the air is being filled with your words?
Into each of your lives, I breathe a purpose. The purpose is Salvation: your own. And by your lived example you can enhance or deny the process of Life for those around you. Do you see? Impossible things DO happen in your midst. But it is to discern if they are of Me or not. For I tell you, Satan is well aware of your inclination toward distraction and he would assist in the busying of your mind, that you would not have a true moment left for Me.
Do you not have a saying, "Stop the world, I want to get off?" Is your head spinning as in a rage? Is there a storm in your life you would have stopped? Well now, shall you contribute to your interior storm by more thought, more adulation, more care, more woe.....Or shall you turn to Me and seek My Silence, My Calm, My Healing Hand, My Whisper, My Way? I have taught you how to come to Me: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Again.....Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Is not My Name the Name beyond all else? Then, pray My Name in the simplicity of your heart. See how important is a name! Ah! But today is the Feast of My John! Yes! His name! His life! From silence. In silence. In Faith. Waiting on the Lord. Up from an impossible beginning, through an impossible life to an improbable end. But all the while, John thought of Me. His focus was always on the Will of God. He learned it from the womb. He learned it from his father. See how important is the example of others! One life is never alone. It is kissed by all around it. How sweet is YOUR kiss to those who touch YOUR life? How sweet is your kiss to Me?
Faith. Have Faith. Be in Me. I am Faith. I am every Virtue that you need. I am all you need. Take a silent moment to notice Me. Afterall, I have seen you for all time. Let OUR moment be now. Let our "now" last a lifetime. Let us be born up from the silence of newness. Let us LIVE in the moment of newness. Let us silence the world around us by your ongoing focus on Me. Consider this: your choice is to be in the crowd who praises Me or in the mob who crucifies Me. But you will never know the difference if you do not seek silence for your heart. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus.....The prayer, so simple. Let us begin. Now and forever. Amen. †
